Spanish Mediterranean Villa Holidays Get the Green Light!

Yes, finally the uncertainty is over.

The EU is open to travellers from within European Union including Brits. What’s more, if you’re travelling from the U.K. then from July 6th, 2020 there is no quarantine when you return home, thanks to new air bridges established to safe countries including our favourite luxe villa holiday destinations of Spain & Italy. Both destinations have a top ‘Green’ rating according to the U.K.’s new traffic light rating system.

So, your summer holiday is go!

…and nothing beats the privacy, security, and style of a Mediterranean villa vacation. The continent has worked hard to restore consumer confidence with an impressive infrastructure of health & safety protocols, so you can relax and enjoy your well-deserved family holiday without concerns.

Andalusia

Spain in particular has invested millions of euro to create a safe and welcoming environment for visitors, building on its significant success in controlling the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

In fact, favourite Passepartout Homes villa holiday destinations such as the Balearics Islands were amongst the first Mediterranean areas to control and almost eradicate the virus making them amongst the safest places in the world.

Spain´s popular Costas are also now on top of the pandemic. Much of Andalucía had very low rates of contagion even at the peak, with many areas never being affected by the virus at all.

Bookings Now Open

So now is the time to book your villa break.

Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, and Gibraltar airports are already exceptional well served with operational scheduled flights from U.K. airports. What’s more, the arrivals infrastructure in Spain is working smoothly so you’ll be in your rental car or transfer limo in no time!

There a few new norms when travelling within the EU. For example, it’s an obligation in Spain to wear a face mask when you are out of your rental car or villa, and unable to maintain the required social distance of 1.5 metres, for example when shopping in the supermarket or going into a retail boutique.

Distanced Dining

Yet guests will notice that social distancing is easily achieved when enjoying a villa holiday in Spain.

Firstly, in sunny Andalucia and the Balearics, it’s the norm to dine outside on terraces and courtyard patios – enjoying the fresh air of the Mediterranean.

Dining capacity has been increased to provide extra space between tables. Menus are digital, accessed via your smart phone. Sanitising gel is widely available and levels of hygiene within the hospitality sector is higher than ever, with regular inspections.

Great Outdoors

Andalucia and the Balearic Islands also have a wealth of outdoor activities to enjoy privately with tour family, from wild swimming in refreshing crystalline rivers, and hiking, to gastronomic activities like wine tastings and private cooking classes. Even time on the beach has been planned so you can maintain a safe distance and have a superior experience.

Menorca
